So glad to see where you're going with this, that you're still moving forward. I still think you convey his mindset well, and I like that she's there offering this place for him. It makes it feel more like he's in this on his own--I don't mean alone, but the implication being he has to work this out, that it's his. And I continue to like the ocean as a character almost, and the moon. You might not be intending this, but for some reason, making this his own makes me believe the novel will resolve things for him.
